Aksham Bryan College of Agriculture was formerly known as the Yorkshire Institute of Agriculture. The roots of the institution can be traced back to 1948. It became Askham Bryan College of Agriculture and Horticulture 19 years later. The College has since diversified widely and today offers courses in equine management, animal management, land management, business, food production, engineering and bioscience. Aksham Bryan College is located four miles west of York with centres in Bedale, Guisborough, Harrogate and Thirsk.
