The School of the Science of Acting (now known as the Academy of the Science of Acting and Directing), was founded in 1991. ASAD is situated in Archway, London. The Academy offers full and short time acting courses and also builds other stage skills such as stage combat and dance, and voice (phonetics, dialect, accents and singing). Regular workshops are organized to give a practical knowledge to the students. Courses are offered in Acting and Directing; the students are exposed to many other subjects like drama theory of improvisation, Shakespeare, history of theatre, music, and art.
