Overall experience

Uni and college is in a whole different league of its own. I've had good and bad experiences but then again you get this everywhere. You can have fun if you choose to, you can be stressed if you choose to. So, my advise for people is to divide their time for work and fun properly. Definitely work hard or you WILL regret it but at the same time have FUN FUN FUN!!! Go out and meet people. Participate in extra curricular. DON'T BE SHY!! Go for it!! That is the true university experience!!

Selection process and gaining admission

Well if you had good grades, it's not hard to be awarded a place anywhere. I used the UCAS system which was smooth and pretty simple but filling up the personal side of the form was hard because you really had to think how you want to impress the uni. My teachers in high school were very helpful with this in the UK. I would advise the students to research hard on the Uni they want and write about yourself like you have never written before. But be truthful and reasonable.

Your study experience

My course can be fun and stressful at times. I enjoy the practical side of my course alot but who doesn't. It does get harder but still it's hands on. I TRY to study a minimum of 2 hours a day if I can. Well, honestly, you get good and bad lecturers. Yes, just like in the movies! It is just like in school, just that you get less attention from them unless you approach them. But overall they are great. Study support is readily given when needed and yes the course is value for money

Your life experience

Facilities here are fulfilling enough. In Glasgow, if you're a shoppoholic, this is perfect for you. People are the same everywhere be it home or abroad. Be kind to them and they be kind to you. I live in a private accommodation just next to the uni which is cheap and great. Part time work is not a problem. Just open your eyes. Student unions are there to help students, and have their unions for you to hang out in. I am part of the M'sian Society and Badminton Club. There are international socs

Job prospects

Job prospects is hard to tell due to the competition of the course. I was told being bright nowadays isn't all they want. Employers want charismatic and outgoing people who can do other things besides study. Yes, I will definitely be keeping in touch with my fellow alumni and yes there is an association for that. If I have completed my studies. I find a job!!!
