I would advise future students to plan ahead, research the course and make sure it fits with your goals. My course is great if you have plans to work abroad because the school is very well connected and offers lots of opportunities to achieve this.
The Masters course at London School attracted me because the practical nature of it enabled me to work with a lot of samples hands on and learn about all kinds of microbiology issues. The first module was introductory. Subsequent modules covered various infectious disease-related topics such as basic parasitology and clinical and public health bacteriology. As part of the course I am also planning to write a dissertation on drug resistant tuberculosis.
I feel that my course will enhance my career choices. Hopefully, I will be studying medicine in the upcoming year and somewhere down the line I would potentially like to practice medicine in developing countries.
