I am happy with the way the program was structured. As far as the teaching is concerned, I was satisfied.
I took the TOEFL test before applying for this course. I prepared on my own and did not take any coaching classes or advice from an educational counselor. I needed a Student Visa, the application for which was easy and straightforward. I flew British Airways where I was entitled to the Students fare and was allowed some excess baggage. I landed at London Heathrow. Im not sure if there was a 'Meet and Greet' service.
I did not receive a scholarship for my studies
The LSE lecture halls are very good and the Library was excellent!
I lived in Housing provided by the University, which was good. I had a good room mate. The room however, was a bit smaller than what I expected. I did not have a part-time job either. The nightlife is London is wild and the social scene is quite active. The weather..well, for a good part of the year, it is quite gloomy. There an International student society at LSE that organizes some cultural events during the year.
LSE sort-of has a placement cell. But its not easy for International students to get jobs. Campus recruitments don't really take place. But there are career fairs where global companies attend. The work permit process was easy once upon a time. I have heard things have changed a lot now. There is an Alumni society at LSE which is pretty active. They sometimes do help with placements.
Located in Greater London.
