Overview
The University of Kent was founded in 1965 and is home to around 17,000 students, which include nearly 3,400 international students. On 1st August 2009, the Department of Electronics at the University of Kent formally evolved into the School of Engineering and Digital Arts. The Department had embraced new technologies and enhanced its research areas with more interdisciplinary work. The School is located at the Canterbury campus which is built on 300 acres of parkland overlooking the city of Canterbury.
The School of Engineering and Digital Arts, which is part of the Faculty of Sciences, has an excellent reputation for both its teaching and research. The School offers a range of undergraduate degrees, besides offering research opportunities in several fields and working with industry in many different ways. The Institution of Engineering and Technology has commended the School for its excellent facilities, innovative teaching methods, its strong links to industry and the high level of support it offers students.
