Middlesex University is a global University, seeking to fulfill the aspirations and ambitions of 25,500 students. Academic Strengths
The University takes pride in its various phenomenal achievements. It has been recognised for its academic and organisational expertise. It was a three time recipient of the Queen’s anniversary prizes and was also honored with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise. It was the first British university to achieve the highest rating possible for our collaborative provision around the world. Middlesex was recognised as a centre of excellence for teacher education, with excellent ratings from the Office for Standards in Education (OFSTED). It was also conferred a high rating during the 2003 institutional audit by the Quality Assurance Agency. The University’s collaborative provision around the world was acknowledged in 2005. It has also been awarded £6.3m for its two national centres of excellence in teaching and learning.
Future Goals
Middlesex University not only seeks to achieve reputation as North London’s most preferred University, but also establish itself as a centre of higher education in different countries. Its campus in Dubai has paved the path for its international aspirations. It seeks to establish Hendon campus as a base for its activities in London.
The University also seeks to fulfill its ambitions with the Mauritius campus, which begins teaching in January 2010. Located in the prestigious garden town of Vacoas, the campus seeks to offer courses subject to rigorous quality assurance procedures, thus sustaining the University’s excellent reputation.
